Pours dark thick brownish black with a beige head. A few years old on this guy brings the lambicus aroma with a smooth fruity tartness so nice in the nose. Flavor brings lighter tart notes, not puckering, with a decent candi fruit type flavor on a decent body.

25.4 oz bottle. A careless pour yielded mostly tan foam settling to dark brown. Nose is funky old fruit, sourdough and red wine. Crisp and tart but kind of ashy. Taste is sour plum, coffee grounds, earth, faint chocolate and wood. wedgie9 (2703) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 20, 2013
Tasted on 10/13/13 from a corked and caged 750mL bottle sent to me as an extra in a trade, this one was a bit of a gusher. Pours nearly black with a very thick, tan head that slowly recedes to thin lace. The nose is primarily darkly roasted malt with sour and vinous fruits underlying, and just a touch of brett funk. The flavor is a bit more focused on the sour, vinous, and oak notes, but the roasted dark chocolate and coffee end up dominating in the end. The body is fairly light with vary lively, almost sparkling carbonation and a long darkly roasted and oaky vinous finish. BMan1113VR (7929) - Los Angeles, California, USA - OCT 1, 2013
