Purchased from Leary’s the newish Amesbury location, earlier today. $9.00 for the 751 mL bottle. To oversized snifter, it pours a murky Tyrian purple-tinted burnt orange with which a fluffy, off-white ringed head 1 pinky in length stood. Aromas of sidewalk chalk, non-pareil capers, crushed aspirin, romaine lettuce, sweet tomatoes, expired Smarties, carrot trim, bergamot, grapefruit zest, unripe plums, and baker’s yeast. Tastes the with the addition of Vienna malt, caramelized onions, wet newspaper, sea salt, poppy seeds, roasted corn, and lime tonic water. In my humble opinion, too malty. I prefer DIPAs where the hops are in command. Jrwhitney6 (500) - - AUG 20, 2014
Pours a very hazy amber color. Nose was not pleasant - not sure how to describe it, other than un-IPA like and skunky. Taste is pretty good - a touch of malt sweetness and then the bitter hops don't mess around.

This beer pours very hazy as expected with an almost ice tea like color. On top is a light tan head of about two to three fingers thickness. This head is long lasting and makes tons of sweet slick lacing on the glass. There is an interesting balance of sweet malt and citrusy grapefruit hops. Deeper in the aroma there are some lemony herbal spicy notes as well. There is an extreme full bodied hit in the mouth of citrusy grapefruity hops, sweet bready malt, yeast, herbal citrusy tea like hops and sweet brown sugar notes. Hop bitterness seems to only catch up in the finish. The finish is slow with all things coming together melting into the tongue. It is full bodied and full textured with a bit a chew to it. The carbonation is good and keeps things from getting sticky or cloying.

Bottle thank to my friend Johnny: Poured a cloudy orange brown with off white head. Malts in the aroma along with dank earth. Carbonated high gritty hops and nice sweet malt backbone. gripweed57 (2588) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - JUN 28, 2014
750 ml corked and caged bottle. Pours a tawny reddish brown color with a small creamy beige head. Subdued oaky malt aroma with noticeable alcohol. Upfront, flavor is rich, dark, chewy malt with a hint of spicy hops. Mid taste
Is more chewy malt. Finish is bitter with a touch of bittersweet chocolate and notes of oak.

Beautiful hoppy, floral, fruity and perfumed aromas. Pine, pistachio and toffee. Extremely cloudy in the glass. Tastes sharp, with a slightly earthy bite and a muddied texture. Souring finish. OldGrowth (3474) - the Containment Area, North Carolina, USA - MAR 6, 2014
Bottle, from Triangle Wine, Morrisville. Ok aroma, sweet. Mango, grapefruit, tad oxidization. Hazed brownish orange color, good size head, spotty lace though. Bitter sweet flavor. Thick body, creamy mouthfeel, bitter finish. It’s ok, I dunno, has a taste I’m not liking, might be the oxidation, just not a juicy simcoe, at least this bottle , I’d have to have one I know was fresh to feel better. williamstome (1898) - Somerville, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 10, 2014
Very hazy brown, medium off white head. Big citrus ’n grass aroma. Flavor of grapefruits, nuts, and resin. Great mouthfeel. JesseBones (60) - - NOV 5, 2013
A pungent aroma of hops and cheese rind. The palate is a little rough but that is to be expected with this unfiltered double IPA. I get creamy cheese, such as Brie and Gorgonzola, and sugary citrus. Tiny bubbles and a dry finish
