Clear medium orange amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, riped fruit, tobacco, fruity, wood. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, tobacco, wood, hoppy, sweet dark fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Very average IPA, especially from the great brewers at Weyerbacher. I think this offering missed the mark a bit. The beer poured a deep and dark amber color with a decent off-white head. The head left a nice amount of lacing around the edges of the glass. The nose was fairly balanced, but contained a bit too much toasted malt for my liking in an IPA. The maltiness carried over into the body, overpowering the hops a little too much. The combination of the two styles was a good idea, but not necessarily pulled off very well. drowland (8880) - Georgia, USA - JUL 8, 2012
7/8/12. On tap at Kickbacks. Musty, earthy, oxidized aroma with barely any hop. Malty and perfumey floral flavor. Not good. DocLock (10830) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 29, 2012
Draft at Craft. Ruby chestnut color with off-khaki head. Nose is bready caramel malt, resiny hops, vinous fruit, peppery. Tastes as it smells, hoppy, resiny, with bready caramel malt, and although this one is not Green Flash Hop Head Red, I feel that it is quite under-rated. jmm635 (1011) - Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 26, 2012
Amber in color with a small beige head. Aroma of sweet caramel malts, bread, and faint hops. Fairly sweet with not nearly enough hop presence for an IPA.

Pours a hazy reddish-mahogany with a small off-white head.
The aroma is very malt forward. Lots of roasted malts, earthy, and a slight Belgian yeast quality. Not as bready as I would have liked.
The taste again is dominated by the malts. Notes of chocolate, a slight breadiness, some dark fruits and minimal bitterness. Doesn’t really stand out, but at the same time it is very drinkable. BREWMUSKCLES (2717) - New Jersey, USA - MAY 26, 2012
bready, brown and full of gravy. some sweetness and worcesterchire sauce. dark color and nothing impressive. mellow after some time in the glass where some red cherry comes in but it is not enough. dmac (6387) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - MAY 16, 2012
Draught at Capone’s Thursday lunch with Caruso. Poured a deep reddish/amber body with a foamy light beige head. Aroma of caramel malt, light toffee. Fuller body with almost a syrupy mouthfeel and average to slightly strong carbonation. Flavor of toast, grains, amber malts, caramel. This was a bit more malt forward than I was expecting with a name like India Red. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 12, 2012
Draught at Capone’s: Faint aroma of malt, hops, citrus, slight vanilla, slight coconut, and slight fruity hops. Poured orange in color with a small to medium-sized, creamy, dense, off-white/tan head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Sparkling. Flavor is heavily bitter. Tastes of malt, hops, fruity hops, slight grapefruit, citrus, slight lime, and a hint of caramel. Medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Heavily bitter, slightly sweet, malt, hop, finish is dry. blipp (9501) - La Mesa, California, USA - MAY 10, 2012
Cask. Pours muddy orange with an off white head. Light citric hoppy aroma with some light soapy notes. The flavor has flowery hops, citrus, and pale and sweet malty notes. Decent.
