This pure strong beer specialty appears in a full red and mahogany brown colour with a long standing head that is reminiscent of the cream of top of a cappucino. Its aroma can be compared to a basket of tropical fruit, with hints of peach and melon. But one can also smell shades of apple, orange, pineapple and banana. With the first sip, the syrupy-wet liquid tastes sweet, much like honey or liquor. The strong flavour of caramel is followed by a bitter and warm aftertaste. This style of bockbier is best suited for spicy dishes or a strong tasting cheese.

9% - Hellbraune Farbe, beiger Schaum.
Angenehm herb-ausgewogen. Keinerlei Alkohol zu schmecken! Weich, Milchschokolade.
--> Selten so ein geiles Bier getrunken!

The head is ok. It smells sweet-fruity. The taste is very mild, sweet, a bit alcoholic, very easy drinkable. Very mild and soft, a bit boring. 11/9/9/9/-/9

I like the reddish-brown colour but the way it fizzed up and went flat is not very encouraging. The aroma is lightly chocolatey, but with fruity elements. Chewy, rich chocolate, nut, brown sugar character but with nail polish phenols in the background. Hrm.

Bottle. Ugly and flat but nice reddish-garnet hue. Smells like rotting fruit and tastes like it too. Has a metallic aftertaste and candy sugar too.

bottle, kindly delivered by Frankenland. Slightly hazy deep chestnut-golden colour, mid-sized off-white head. Fruity-malty nose with shy hints of vegetables. Full-bodied, intensive malty base with citrusy hop flavours, hints of caramel, tropical fruit. Bitter-sweet character, reminding me of American Imperial IPAs. The streghth is really dangeorus, I could have a few of these theoretically because the alcohol is so well hidden, that it is hardly detectable. A delicious beer.
