Pours deep, clear amber with a tiny, thin head that vanished almost immediately. Nice, toffee malt aroma with slight grassy hop notes. Medium bodied and low-medium carbonation. Rounded malt caramel, toasted toffee flavour with hints of roasted coffee. Balanced sweetness with some hop bitterness. Flavoursome and easy drinking with a medium body and smooth medium mouth-feel. Would be a good session beer. ogivlado (7810) - Zagreb, CROATIA - SEP 18, 2014
Bottled 500ml. -from www.beershop.hr Clear amber coloured, minimal off-white head, mild caramel in the nose. Moderate malty, bit metallic and light caramel with notes of dried fruits and herbs. Also some caramel in the finish. Really ordinary. rauchbier (3891) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - SEP 16, 2014
Bottle, from Morrison’s. Amber brown, thin short lived white head and gentle condition. Delicate burnt toffee, slight fruitiness and a hint of citrus happiness in the nose, quite dry and earthy in the mouth with a little happiness and some caramel, finish is dry, earthy and hop bitter.

JDW Manchester & County 21 Jan 13. Mørk amber. Pent lavt og litt farget skum med mye lacing. Svak karamellaroma. Smaken litt vassen. Karamellpreg - men identitetsløs. Søt ettersmak.

Cask at Cloisters. Pours amber brown with a good white head. Very traditional toffee and light biscuit aromas. More toffee sweetness on the taste, a bit too much for me in the end. No carbonation, bit sticky in the texture. An OK bitter.
