Bottle. Bronze with a clear appearance. No head and a lovely combination of malty and fruity flavours. Hitting well above its weight in terms of flavour and depth. My first from this brewery and a very impressive debut. harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAR 14, 2010
Cask handpull at The Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. Amber colour with lasting beige head. Decent biscuit, good malts, good amber ale, seems a popular style now in the UK. Lots of digestive biscuit on finish. Touch of caramel. I love proper amber ales. Sweetish in mouth, good dry biscuit. I love it. Just needs some good hop on the end, but as it is, really drinkable. christhoel (286) - chesterfield, Derbyshire, ENGLAND - OCT 8, 2014
caramel, brown, clear, minimal head, light sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour, medium body, thin feel, average carbonation,

On tap @ Cloisters. We arrived around 9:30 to the ’’meet the brewer’’ event and the brewer had left at 6 - not sure how many people he would’ve met. This is an amber ale with a nice creamy head. The predominant aroma and taste is of toffee. There is a little bit of biscuit going on but mostly toffee. The palate is medium bodied and there’s a thick texture though the finish is a little too sweet and cloying. Overall, another solid bitter.

Medium Dark amber colour with thin white head. Cider apple smell. Taste of hop, grape, fruit, and maybe plum. Litter watery on the palate. Sweet smooth start and a dry malt caramel aftertaste. Woody. ippopotamo36 (2383) - Rome, ITALY - SEP 12, 2014
At the Brit Beer Fest in Belgrade. Pours bright amber, little off white foamy head. Nose: BBQ, malts. Mouth: smoked ham, bitter over all palate, malts. Like it.

From bottle. Pours a nice clear amber, with a strong malty, fruity nose, like a toffee apple. Taste is quite sweet but with some toastiness. markas101 (2455) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - MAR 22, 2011
