Brewed using German lager hops. Light in colour, sharp and very clean with lots of hop character. Very thirst quenching.

Cask at the Flowerpot, Derby. 08-09-07 I don’t really know what was wrong with this, it poured fine, golden in colour and with small white head, good clarity, but tasted soapy and quite poor, I really should’ve taken this back but it was the end of the night, I’d had a rake of ale and my dad was threatning to go onto the Thomas Sykes next at 10%, poor beer to end what had been a great day of generally very good beers.

[email protected] Pot, Derby. Golden beer with a light head. The aroma is lightly dry and the flavour is lightly dry and slightly fruity. Overall an OK light and mild beer.

Cask at the Flowerpot Derby, strong citrus flavours in a relatively low ABV beer. Sunflower golden. Really good.

Really nice ale here. Aroma is citrusy and grassy. Taste is pale lager malts with a hint of sweetness, mandarin and lemon citrus flavours, dry bitter finish, i could drink a serious amount of this stuff.

Cask, Burton Winter Fest 07. Golden with a white foam. Aromas are sweet hops with lemon and some soap. Flavours are biscuit malts with nice sweet hops. Has grapefruit and lemon fruitiness. Fizzy on the palate. Pleasant.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Knockout. Lemon curd body, tight white head, really zippy lemons in the taste, almost fizzes on the tongue, certainly one of the best golden ale I’ve had this year.

duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 30, 2004
[email protected] beer festival. Hoppy and light, tasty, zesty citrus rind and floral hops as the main flavours, quite light in ABV, but decent amount of flavour. Drinkable stuff.

Very pale gold colour - a bit anaemic looking. Aromatic - at first I thought there were Cascade or First Gold hops, but I see it uses German lager varieties. The flavours are citric and a little sharp, but the finish settles down to be clean, gentle and lasting. The body is a mite thin, but it makes a decent thirst quencher. I rather liked this. Cask (gravity), Thurrock Beer Festival.

Cask Conditioned at The Wilkes Head, Leek, Staffs. Pale yellow light ale with frothy head. A sharp resiny flavour, thin and acidic but with some floral hop, dry notes. Lemon peel, zest, too sharp really.
