Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Muddy light amber color. Mild grapefruit and dried apricots aroma. Semi-dry mouthfeel, light malt aroma, with some candies, dry grapefruit and dry orange peel; ordinary bitterness. Quite weird, it reminds of candied orange peels.

On tap at Nita Lake Lodge, pours a cloudy dark orangey brown with a small beige head. Nose brings out sweet grapefruit, like they added lots of citrus zest and sweetened it up. Flavour matches accordingly, with grapefruit zest and a sweet juicy quality. Not a beer of elegance but it’s easy to drink. Decent.

saxo (19569) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUL 8, 2012
Tap @ Malone’s. Medium head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are grape fruit, caramel, malt and hops. Slightly citric finish.

Oakes (19332) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 13, 2015
Draft @ Red Racer. Amber and hazy. Really big grapefruit - not the most authentic, but bright. Bit yeasty, and a bit too much malt, but pleasant.

Bottle - Marmalade on toast and not in a good way. Cloudy orange with no head. Tastes like marmalade as well, there is no reason to drink marmalade.

brokensail (16689) - Dublin, California, USA - AUG 31, 2014
On tap @ Tap & Barrel - Olympic Village. Sort of turbid amber color with a white head. Smells like sugar and citrus peel. A bit of caramel and bready malts. Kind of simplistic. Flavor is a bit on the sweet side. Sort of a mix of grapefruit soda and candies. Half decent bready malt...some caramel and sugar. Meh.

DuffMan (10751) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 11, 2012
Bottle. Medium orange amber, quite hazy, with a medium white head. Aroma is fresh orange and caramel. Flavour is sweet orange candy and light caramel. Shandy-ish. Not my favourite. Grapefruit should be bitter and less sweet.

PorterPounder (8355) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - AUG 16, 2016
Whistler, BC - on tap at Whistler Brewing Company. Hazy, dark orange pour, soft off-white head. Fresh citrusy aroma with heavy grapefruit accents. Flavor runs down the same path, nice and citrusy with a hint of vanilla. Crisp, clean mouthfeel. Rating #31 of my 2016 vacation.

blankboy (7860) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 1, 2013
[Bottle (330ml).] Pours a bubbly copper-gold with a large diminishing fluffy off-white head. Aroma of sweet grapefruit mainly along with some caramel malt in the back. Flavour of light, slightly watered down grapefruit juice, somewhat sweet and with a very light bitter finish. Finish is a bit iffy. Light to average bodied. A decent thirst quencher but not much of a beer.

Radek Kliber (7501) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - SEP 19, 2013
Bottle 330ml LCBO
Aroma: malty with off fruity bitterness, backing grapefruit freshness. Backing with fishier fruity hoppy blend.
Look: thick haze on darker amber. Light top, white.
Taste: medium lighter bodied with thin walls. Lower carbonation. Plenty of unrefined sugars with caramel approach. Mild grapefruit behind. Too sweet to finish.
