A Pineapple Express can be many things. And in Whistler, it’s the perfect excuse to kick back and enjoy a few ales. This golden beauty’s just the ticket. We start with a light blonde ale grist, and add a ratio of pure wheat malt. We then blend pineapple crush into the mash, and drizzle juice into the fermenter. We,ve been brewing award winning ales for five years now. This one’s as fresh as a warm breeze- straight from the shores of Maui.

355ml can. Pours a cloudy yellow-gold with a small, creamy, long lasting, white head that laces. Sweet aroma of pineapple and grainy wheat malt. Sweet flavour of pineapple and wheat malt with a hint of ginger in a dry, mildly bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Meh.

Pineapple and banana aroma. Hazed golden with a white head. Banana forward with a bit of pineapple and citrus notes. Not really my flavor profile. Notes: on tap at the brewery, Whistler BC (May ’17)

Can - More sweet pink grapefruit than pineapple. Cloudy gold with a rich white head. Hard candy, sweet fruity notes and a candy sweet malty butterscotch finish. Very sweet and fruity.

This appears to be the summer of tropical beers -- mango, coconut, pineapple. Lots of the latter in this one, not too surprisingly. The result is a tad too sweet but it goes down easy and definitely inspires visions of the beach.

Draught at the brewery
Cloudy blond color. The aroma is mildly fruity, more fruit flavor; the base beer is not interesting.
Simple offer, some less demanding people may like it.

Pours a cloudy orangey colour with a thin white head. Aroma is bready wheat, light spice, and sweet pineapple notes. Flavour is spicy, cloves, pineapple, citrus, and wheat. We?ll done fruit beer, enjoyable and not too sweet.

vadie (1257) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 4, 2013

reebtogi (6378) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 27, 2013
650ml bottle pours a pale golden amber color with a finger of white head that leaves a few spots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is light pineapple with some spice and grains. Taste is a light pineapple fruit and malty sweetness balanced with a light spicy and grassy hop bitterness. A well done fruit beer, one of the better ones I have tried.

Gerbeer (4013) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 31, 2013
650 ml bottle. Pours a hazy tawny color with light head. Aromas of rubber, pineapples, and low tide. Flavours of pineapple, orange juice, light wheat, and resin. Off balance.

mcberko (18949) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 25, 2013
650mL bottle, pours a cloudy opaque golden orange with a medium white head. Aroma brings out loads of pineapple - very artificial. Flavour is very pineapple-y, too much pineapple -- drowns out anything else out. Very simple. Tastes very amateur. Not good at all.
