COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’ve blended robust caramel and crystal malts to give the brew deep brown amber hues, for an almost warming appearance. But it’s the roasted chestnuts that impart a unique and bold nutty character, complemented by a light level of hops, for a clean but crisp finish.

Labeling and pour look great, but the beer itself is a bit of a flop. The taste is good but it doesn’t feel like a natural taste; it’s like they just added caramel/toffee flavoring to it, tasty at first but not much thereafter. No length in it’s finish and forgettable when it’s swallowed. Lacking in aroma apart from the apparent toffee like taste which can be smelt.

Amber body with a foamy white head. Aroma is sweet with sting nut and caramel notes. Taste matches aroma perfectly. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear amber with a thin beige head. Nice nutty aroma and flavor but a bit too sweet.

Maple, nut, honey aroma. Black Amber pour with large toasted white foam. Very appealing sweet beer with a wheaty, nut taste. Delicous fot those that dont mind a sugary ale.

cmacklin (1179) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - APR 12, 2015
330 ml bottle. Pours a clear, red amber with an average, beige head that laces. Sweet and artificial aroma of vanilla, nuts and caramel. Syrupy sweet and artificial flavour of vanilla, nuts, caramel and roasted malt with a mildly bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Novelty or gimmick beer. Too sweet and syrupy for me.

AgentAle (1755) - Alberta, CANADA - FEB 22, 2015
UPDATED: JAN 17, 2016 Aroma is sweet malts nuts and light sulphur. Taste is sweet basic malts, a well balanced nut presence that finishes smoothly with light bitterness. Lots of toffee and caramel. Appearance is a clear amber with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

GuideDogSaint (1502) - Xiamen, CHINA - JAN 16, 2015
330ml bottle from Tap 66, Xiamen. Pours dark brown with a dissipating off white head. Aroma of nuts, toffee, chocolate and vanilla. Bitter sweet finish.

gramity (1668) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 27, 2014
Pours a medium brown color with small head. Despite the lack of head aroma is plentiful and sweet with lots of caramel coming through. Taste is a nice malt with a hint of chestnut coming through along with some hard to place spices. Finishes hoppy. This is a great autumn beer.

Reimer96 (1743) - Alberta, CANADA - DEC 5, 2014
Pours a clear medium brown with a small tan head. Aroma of vanilla, nut, caramel and toffee. Taste is sweet vanilla mixed with chestnut and light butterscotch. Overall it’s balanced well but a bit too much artificial vanilla.
