650ml bottle pours amber in color with a 2 finger white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Caramel is huge on the nose with this brew with some nutty notes as well. Taste is a bold caramel malty sweetness with some nutty undertones and a mild hop bitterness. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A really nice brew that is just right for the upcoming season. Quite tasty and easy to drink. cards04 (2850) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - OCT 11, 2014
I liked this. Chestnuts and caramel all over the place. Aromas of toffee, nuts, vanilla, and sweet malts. Flavors are sweet caramel covered nuts. Yum. northropfrye (3670) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - OCT 17, 2014
This was surprisingly good. Dark red copper aroma. Distinct chestnut, vanilla, cereal, and cherry aroma. Taste is a nice sweet cherry with a touch of cocoa. Enjoyable. AgentAle (1806) - Alberta, CANADA - FEB 22, 2015
UPDATED: JAN 17, 2016 Aroma is sweet malts nuts and light sulphur. Taste is sweet basic malts, a well balanced nut presence that finishes smoothly with light bitterness. Lots of toffee and caramel. Appearance is a clear amber with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well. tdubs92 (63) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 20, 2015
Maple, nut, honey aroma. Black Amber pour with large toasted white foam. Very appealing sweet beer with a wheaty, nut taste. Delicous fot those that dont mind a sugary ale.

Single bottle purchased at a Liqour Store in Squamish, BC on 10/22/2011. Colour: Medium-Dark Brown with medium white head. Nose: Huge doses of chocolate covered cherry. Fresh cedar planks. Melted Butter... faint coffee. Taste: Medium-light sweet, light bitter, light sour. A sweetness that comes on strong but quickly vanishes. Cherry and nuts - but thank goodness there is very little evidence of chestnut - because I tried roasted chestnuts at a Christmas market in Germany once, and they were the most putrid thing I have ever eaten.
Interesting, if not quirky. bigaddie (75) - - JUN 6, 2013
Aroma of chestnuts, caramel and vanilla in this wry Christmassy beer. The appearance is average with a hazy brown look though there's a good head and great lacing.
The taste is kinda absent. A bit of the caramel and chestnuts make it through but it is by no means marginal.
Creamy ale with a bit happening. Nothing wow about it.
