From bottle -Label evokes lumberjack imagery. Pours dark copper brown with nice head that thins out. Aroma of caramel malts and almost woodsy hop character.
First sip shows this brew to be well balanced. No particular flavour stands out, but makes for an easy drinking ale. Nice carbonation on the tongue. Good bodied malt flavour.
Overall this is a good patio beer.
Part of mixed 12pk from The Beer Store. Pours an average size frothy off-white head and has a pale golden appearance. Dirty lacing. Good retention. Aromas of sweet and toasted malts, herbal and earthy hops. Flavours are mostly sweet malts, grassy and herbal type hops. Some bitterness on the palate almost immediately. Has a little bit of a rusty like finish, somewhat metallic. Not bad but couldn’t really have too many in a row of this one. Spab (4083) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 25, 2016
330 ml bottle from The Beer Store (part of Travel Pack). Pours a clear copper colour with small eggshell-coloured head. Aroma is caramel, light whiskey and some stewed fruit. Flavour is toffee, whiskey and dried tree fruit. Body a little short of average. Ok. PorterPounder (8294) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - AUG 15, 2016
Whistler, BC - on tap at Whistler Brewing. Sparkling, medium copper pour, soft of-white head. Aroma has some nutty accents, a hint of cola, some cherry accents. Flavor has some light citrus bitter notes, some nuttiness, a bit of cherry fruity sweetness. ice lactic notes, a touch of licorice. Flavor has some delectable tobacco notes, some chocolate goodness, a hint of licorice in the back end. Thick enough mouthfeel. A smooth drinking, slightly sweet ale, lots of honey flavor, not a lot of bitterness or hops. Very smooth session ale. MunBro (942) - St. Albert, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 7, 2015
Very syrupy with some notes of malts and caramels. Whistler has some good stuff, but not this.

Great amber-brown with a medium beige head that slowly dissipates into a thin ring. Aromas of malt, nut, dried fruit, hop and toffee. Absolutely wonderful sweet and bitter blend with a smooth palate. One of my favorites ACHops (1643) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 29, 2015
On tap @ Garibaldi Lift Co. Pours medium reddish copper with thin off white head. Aroma is lightly sweet oaky caramel malt. Taste is similar: decently rich chewy amber malt, only a hint of hops to balance. Nice and refreshing after a day of skiing, but pretty bland overall. laiti (8513) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 2, 2015

Aroma has sticky malty tones, ripe fruits and resin. Also wood and hints of minerals. Flavour has cardboard, mellow resiny hops and woody notes. Finishes with nothing. Aroma was promising but flavour is quite short and empty. Perhaps too old?
