Number 700. Pour looks like lemonade- hazy yellow with a 1.5 finger white head. Very cloudy and opaque. Aroma is pungent sharp citrus with a definite pronounced acidity. Nectar, pineapple, mango, and banana round out a unique and delectable fruit component. Flavor is very atypical for the style: acidic and tart with a little acedic acid and more sweet light fruit. Palate is supple and pillowy without sacrificing body. One of my favorites of the style. WLG423 (201) - Connecticut, USA - OCT 23, 2009
Strong acetic acid aroma, pours out with a color similar to lemonade. Very acidic and sour flavor with some floral and sharp citrus notes. Long lasting sour and bitter flavor. An incredibly distinctive and unique brew. ditmier (1508) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 13, 2009
2009 Bottle 74/94 Batch 3 - Thanks rpstevens! - Pours out a faint and light pale yellow, like a wit humped a saison, with a medium neon white head...aroma is subdued spice and that unmistakeable aroma of belgians playing with hops...bitter, floral, slightly sweet fruit...flavour is similar, restrained grain, spice, light banana and pear, lemon...the yeast doen’t overpower, and the lightly sweet malt does a great job supporting the bitter hop profile...very interesting brew!
