COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This straw colored beer greets with an aroma of noble hops, pears and Belgian esters. The flavor follows nicely with a moderately spicy hop and Belgian yeast effect buoyed by a soft malt body. The finish is crisp and dry. We enjoy this beer with spicy foods, grilled steaks, grilled chicken and mandarin salad. Where you take it is only limited by your imagination.

Cloudy light brown pour with creamy white head and lace. Belgian yeast and light bread. Lemon and paper on the flavor. thin and watery, not very much

Bottle/22oz - Pours a pale yellow in color with a big foamy white head... way over carbonated. Aroma was Belgian yeast, lemon and grassy hops. Flavor is mildly hoppy and dry with grassy hops, lemon and some Belgian yeast. Flavors are not that distinct and the hops are dominant over the yeasts. No malt balance. Just average....

opaque lemon, white foamy head. Very simple nose, strong grapefruit pulp/sour scent and some granny smith. Flavor a bit harsh with an overtly bitter mid-palate, soapy finish, and bubblegum sweetness up front, also light lemon.

Bottle. Batch 4, bottle 126 of 472, rarity. Pours a slightly hazed straw yellow with a white pillowy head. Definately pick up some fruit type aromas in the nose along with a touch of belgian yeast. Medium/light mouthfee with lots of carbonation. The taste is rather so-so with nothing really stepping up and taking center stage. Slightly lemony sweet start and from there it kind of falls apart with some hops and some belgian yeast. It is basically like a real bad rendition of a berliner and even worse rendition of a Belgian Ale. Good thing they only made 472 bottles of this.

Sample at Julio’s NE Beer Festival. White Birch was my favorite table at the festival. Love the small breweries and this is a good one. This particular offering wasn’t as good as some of their other offerings though.

Batch one bottle shared by Steve at the September 2010 Metro Detroit tasting. Poured a very pale clear gold with a white head that dissipated quickly to the edges. Aroma was weak with a slight grain and grass note and a bit of underlying spice. Flavor was similar with a light pine and grass note met with a light spice note. Beer just seemed to be under flavored.

22oz. Bottle (Batch #7, Bottle #123 of 302, at 7.8%ABV): Aroma of pale malt, lemon, Belgian yeast, grains, citrus, and lemongrass. Poured a muddy yellow/straw/flaxen in color with a small, white head that diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer, as well as around the edges. Cloudy. Very sparkling. Flavor is heavily sweet and slightly tart. Tastes of grains, alcohol, pear, slight Belgian yeast, light citrus, and lemon. Medium body. Slick, oily texture. Average carbonation. Lemon, slight Belgian yeast, light hop, and alcohol finish. Pretty bad. Alcohol present throughout.

"Big thanks to Sara for sharing this one! A-pours a very pale yellow, watery urine colored with a thin bubbly white head. S-notes of pale malts, hints of yeast and slightly grainy, the huge citric flavors take over. lots of orange rind and sour grapefruit. T-the taste has some dry yeast and light pale malt that is almost moldy, faint though, tons of lightly tart white grapefruit, light sourness and hints of soapiness in the finish. M-creamy medium body, a little grainy towards the back and a crisp slightly dry finish. D-rather singular and not a lot of belgian flavors. plenty of citric presence but a few slightly off charateristics."

22 oz bomber. Bottle number 124/302. Pours a cloudy gray straw color with a medium sized white head. Aroma of faint spice, faint fruit, grains, yeast and tarty bitter notes. Taste of watery faint fruit, mild spice, yeast and hay. Slight tarty finish. Watery throughout.

On tap at Capone’s. Poured a lighter and hazy straw color with a small sized white head. Aromas on the thinner side - citrus. Tastes of citrus, fruity, spicy, and some wheat. Nice logger tart finish.
