Cask at GBBF 2010. A dark brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of butter and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of butter, leading to a dry and roasted finish. The body is light.

Clear medium to dark brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20100804]

Warning! Early amateur rating! Well carbonated mild. Slighty sour with subtle fruits and a smoky note. Mouth watering.

downender (8891) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 5, 2011
Cask-conditioned at the Sussex beer festival, Seven Stars, Bristol 4/1/2011. Dark brown with a hint of red and slight, off-white head. Slightly sweet, berry fruit aroma with a touch of roastiness. Flavours of coffee and dark fruit, with a sour edge to the finish which detracted from my enjoyment.

oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 23, 2010
[email protected] Brown colour with small off-white head. Aroma is coffee, dark dry fruits, some mild berries and liquorice. Flavour is quite much the same along with some mild ryebready notes.

Cask (GBBF2010)
6 Light grains, slightly mashy aroma. Anna says it’s a bit lactic.
4 Deep brown, small beige head.
7 Rich roasty malts, some husky grains.
4 Soft palate, carbonation low. Finish is grainy and a little dry, with some nuttiness later. Long finish is back to light grains.
14 Refreshing and tasty - sessionable.
