Bottle (5,3% ABV). a nearly black beer with a small and quite fast disappearing, but nice light brown head. The aroma has a medium roastiness, with some coffee notes and lioght smoke. The aromas are good, but like other beers of this brewery not exactly powerful. The flavour has good roasted malts, coffee and a good balance. Very drinkable. Light to medium acidity. Medium body, lively carbonation, dry long finish with medium bitterness. A nice beer, even though not my favourite from White Dog.

Black color; creamy head. Yeasty roasted malt aroma. Smooth mouthfeel of course; it has a roasted malt flavor, some glue, liquorice (too much). Correct bitterness. Controversial.

Bottle. Black beer with a strong bubbly head. The aroma is gently roasted and dry, and the flavour is deeply roasted and slightly rich. Overall a reasonable beer.

Bottle bought in Bologna. Coffee, a little liquorice, sour smoke, like a camp fire where the wood is a bit wet. Some sweetness. You need to like smoky beers to enjoy this one.Quite short finish. Not quite there, but almost.

Bottle with an interesting label. Dark and pored with a big head which took what seemed like a life time to dissipate. But it was well worth the wait. Dry with a subtle bitter finnish this is a very pleasant stout.
