Bottle shared at the Cafe Abseits tasting during the Bamberg Excursion. Thanks to Cloin for this bottle. Good for the style. Very sweet, with plenty of caramel and bread. Good balance. Bamberg joly day 2 25/01/2014. Bottle shared at Cafe Abseits. Thanks to Colin. Bright red, orange coloured pour. Aroma is belgian yeast phenols, caramel, toffee and pear. Hazy - murky medium orange colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate yeasty, yeast, riped fruit, alcohol. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long to average long duration, riped fruit, anis seed, yesty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Hazed orange amber with a moderate light beige head.
Nose is pear drops, toffee, sugars, light diacetyl notes.
Taste comprises bitter fruits, yeast esters, toffee, light booze, bitter fruit.
Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semmi drying conclusion.
Ok stuff ie - drinkable but lacks depth for the ABV.
