Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, sweet malt. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, smoked, chocolate, sweet malt, dark dried fruit notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

ChrisOs Easter Tasting. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Palate is airy and a little thin. Mild fine carbonation. Dark chocolate tinged malts, slightly woody. Dry dark fruits. Mild spice. Dry finish. Not bad.

Aroma of licorice, rich dark bittersweet cocoa, burnt cofee, dark fruit. Taste is smooth, rich, slightly fruity, slightly sour, very roasty and complex. Bottle shared at chriso’s Easter 2015 tasting - London. Cheers to Colin for this one I think. Pours black-brown with a thick, tan foam head. The aroma holds milk chocolate and lots of ashy roast. Medium sweet flavor with subtle peat notes, some earthy bitterness, cocoa, smoke. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish with further chocolate impact, subtle maple accents, moderate ashy roast and scorched earth. Not bad. Black with a decent tan head that retains well.
Nose is charr, spice, earthy roast, chocolate, dark toffee.
Taste comprises raisens, dark fruits, light spice, bitter chocolate, dark malts, tar.
Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, big roasty smacks in the close.
Ok stout, lacks depth for the style but an easy drinking offering.
