330ml bottle . Chalky nose -bread, lemon , crackers . Banana coloured Pils with no more than a limp white head . Citrusy and everything in the nose is in the flavour . Kinda strange yeasty notes - I'm not sure this being bottle conditioned helps a Pils .

can at home from the brewery via susanna forbes, cheers!
pale golden with frothy white head. a little vegetal dms sweetcorn/ green grain on the nose which thankfully doesnt continue into body which is clean, slightly peppery hops and a touch of bread dough. decent body to it with moderate carbonation. Something i could grow to appreciate over a pint or two - good start!

elbernays (1737) - Dublin, IRELAND - MAY 1, 2017
Can from mchughs. Pours straw gold. Bread, dough, yeast notes. Fairly creamy mouthfeel. Light and good for style.

culchiem (4318) - Berlin, GERMANY - MAR 21, 2017
Bottle from McHughs. Cloudy yellow with a clean white head. Aroma of grainy malt. Flavour is citrus hop, grain, sweet citrus base. Clean lager finish.

stravale (3150) - Co. Westmeath, IRELAND - MAR 18, 2017
Bottle from O’Brien’s, Athlone [030317]
Straw, very light haze, thin white head
Aroma of light spicy hops, hint of citrus, very light nose
Taste of light pale malt, very light spicy hops, hint of citrus zest, slight floral note, very light flavour
Palate - Medium carb, light body, slight sweet, soft bitter, refreshing. Finish as main flavour, clean palate
Overall - Clean, fresh lager. Better than Danu. Rather light in flavour for me but it is a lager - for the style it’s decent enough. Should be in 500ml bottles.

Platinum blonde with trailers + a finger of white. 3.75 Honey granola with hay and lemon zest. 4 Cream cracker, some sponge cake sweetness, a tart hit, then with cut grass, straw, and lemon hard candy hops. 4.25 Gently chalky bitter linger. Crisp, lt+, fizzy. 4 Shows like a Helles to start then hits you with a very decent hop dose at the end that, crucially, nobody would accuse of straying into IPL territory. Clean and snappy, too, like I like my pilsners. Job well done. 4
