Tap at Devonshire Arms, Cambridge .
dark goldne color with small white head. Very weak malty aroma with notes of citrus hops. Watery taste with hint of malt, fruity hops. Disappointment.

My Bottom Line:
Honeyed malts and peppery hops meld in this silky Bitter.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam crowns the amber-tinged golden.
-The hop character has green edges.
-Orange-y tea leaves are also shared in the aroma.
-The mouthfeel is smooth and rich, creating an elegant quencher of a body.
-The flavour profile is balanced.

On cask at The Royal Blenheim, Oxford.

Great swift half on a hot afternoon. Could very easily be a session beer. Lively, producing a smooth head, clean flavour, slightly floral and grassy.

Cask @ The Horniman at Hay’s, London. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are fruits, malt and hops. Dry and bitter finish.

AshtonMcCobb (6846) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 4, 2012
On Tap @ the Haymarket Bar. Pours golden with a proportionate head. The nose has grapefruit and hay. The taste is more of the same. The palate is light to medium in structure and texture with a clean finish. Overall, a good easy quaffer!

Off tap at a pub in norwich. Fairly dark, lightly hopped. A standard acceptable bitter.

Brandman (2963) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 17, 2011
Golden body, white head. Aroma of malts, buttery fudge, some grassy hops. Slight bitterness. Easy and enjoyable.

Cask at the Royal Blenheim, Oxford, England.
Deep golden colour with small white head. Salty watery aroma. Flavour is very mild floral and fruity hoppy. Watery. I don’t know what’s wrong with this but it’s not the same nectar rated before. Watery and flavourless. Probably needs another go sometime.

BeerViking (4985) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 5, 2010
Golden and bright, with a fine white head. Aroma is crisp and hoppy. Bitter and dry on the palate but with a firm underlying fruity malt. Dry bitter finish. An excellent session bitter, reminiscent of Young’s Ordinary when it was good.
