Cask Conditioned Handpump Wig & Pen Northampton. A golden beer with a white head. A bit of grassy hop leads to a pleasant enough citrussy hop taste. A bit shallow and very English. Drinkable enough and there are some good orangey hop flavours. sm89walt (2065) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - OCT 27, 2010
Cask (gravity) - Norwich Beer Festival 2010. Regenerative foamy off-white head, light amber body. Good pale malt sweetness going on in both aroma & taste, let down a bit by some veggy notes on the nose. Toasted malt & some caramel flavours with an OK length to the grassy, almost herbal bitter finish. Soft mouthfeel, light body - not bad but a few unappealing notes here & there. Cloudy golden with a small, but lasting white head.Aroma has butter, fruit and hops. Dry and hoppy flavour with a nice and bready malt backbone Doppelganger (1388) - Dry County, Arkansas, USA - JAN 2, 2009
One of the last couple of White Horse beers I hadn’t tried, this one has been alluding me for ages. Finally got to try it at the Oxford Beer Festival, way back three or four months ago now, and finally getting the notes entered now. fonefan (49427) - VestJylland, DENMARK - OCT 6, 2008
Copper, a few wisps of white soapy head. Light orange and warm bee pollen nose. Light lemon hop flavor, touch of resin. Orangy sort of sweetness. Pleasant, but at least based on this serving, not one of WH’s more interesting beers.

Cask in the new crown. Aroma is pale biscuity malts, citrus fruity hop character. Taste is balanced fruity citrus character with a small honey character off the pale malts. Good effort. MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - AUG 24, 2008

JDW, Dartford. After the Dartford Half.Pale, citric edged, English hopped dusty finished best bitter. Nicely straddling modern and traditional. Very good.
