dough, leather, caramel. burnished copper colour, no head. medium sweetness, salty, then a nice toffeeish bitter finish, this was much better than i ever thought it would be. very nice. Connor66 (81) - - MAR 8, 2014
Nice dark colour with a strong but pleasant aroma. The taste is very malty with a strong caramel back taste, there is also a hint of toffee. Having said that it is very pleasant and the palate and after taste is very nice.

Cask at Assembly House, London. Pours clear brown with a light, tan cream head. Nose holds dirt and cocoa, some burnt leaves. Light sweet flavor, some bitter, charred malts, leafy bitterness, baking cocoa. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Earthy bitterness to finish with further notes of dirty cocoa. Not bad. imdownthepub (15519) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 15, 2012
