The color was a great orange/yellow. The mixture of ginger and rye flavors was just right. Not too sour. Absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to go back and have more.

On tap at R.D.F. in Washington, DC. 2015 Strong Ale Tasting. Clear, amber-hold with a fine, near-white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of light fruit, ginger, lemon, caramel, rye and bitter vegetables. Taste of lemon, bread, orange, rye, sweet dried ginger candy and bitter vegetables. Medium body and low/medium carbonization with a smooth mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ginger Rye As with most of the beers at this establishment, aroma is not their best characteristic. I didn’t sense much. Very good appearance for such a light beer, reminded me of a 60 minute IPA. Tastes exactly like you’d expect.. strong traces of ginger with rye. Not much else. Very bitter on the aftertaste. I suppose it’s a respectable summer beer.
