Mooch tasting at Matts
Hazy golden color. Aroma of vegetables, sweet blond malt flavor, but no depth, it has a strong sugary flavor, even sugar floss, candies, high octane feeling.
Had some beer like this in the past, from van Steenberge and company, never liked them either.

Aroma is plum, raisins, honey, and candy sugar. Taste is clove, tart, honey, citrus, caramel and butterscotch. Very similar to a barleywine. Appearance is a hazy orange with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

330ml bottle @ Matts. Pours a slightly haze amber colour with no head. Nose hints of orange peel and coriander. Flavour is an upfront punch of hot. There is some slight orange character but mostly alcohol.

Bottle - Orange blossom and slick Perfumy notes. Clear orange with a small white head. Sweet orange syrup and candy like. Big and sweet.

330mL bottle, pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is very hot, with floral hops, orange peel and a hint of coriander. Flavour is pretty hot, with lots of floral hops, perfume, medium orange, and alcohol. Warming, but not too hot. Not overly cohesive by any means, but its certainly a fun beer.

Slight haze, amber. The aroma has a touch of orange but with the phenolic plasticy stuff that comes from a strong ale. Very sweet, very much with alcohol and phenols. These characteristics dominate - this was fermented too warm, and too long, so it comes out dry but without nuance. Banging in some orange peel and coriander at the end gives it orange peel and coriander character, but that is not a substitute for genuine character and complexity. And yet, it ends up not that awful; its a small bottle and I probably could finish it.

Craft Beer Advent Calendar (Day 24) 330ml bottle pours a slightly hazy golden orange color with a small off-white head that leaves only a few spots of lacing behind. Aroma is light fruits and citrus with some herbal and spicy notes. Taste is a light fruity and malty sweetness with a citrus and herbal hop bitterness finishing with a mild alcohol sensation on the tongue. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, an interesting brew that is tasty and somewhat balanced. Recommended.

330 ml bottle from 2016 Craft Beer Advent Calendar. Despite whats stated above, label indicates that this product was brewed and bottled by Het Nest Brouwerij, Belgium. Pour is hazy amber with small off white head. Aroma is subtle winter spice, booze, orange peel. Stone fruit, sweet, very boozy, with bitter edge. Full body.

Amber pour, finger of off-white head, poor retention. Once I get past the alcohol burn the aroma has caramel, winter spices, light fruit. Sweet taste leads to a warm then hot acolo finish. Upfront its an okay winter ale with sweet caramel and spice but too much alcohol burns this one. Medium, slick body with a little extra carbonation that helps to keep it light.
