Ritzn (1709) - GERMANY - NOV 16, 2016
Murky brown with almost no head. Aroma is cherry pips, cherry, nuts, soy sauce. Taste is dark chocolate bittersweetness with lots of phenolic stuff, raisin sweetness. Heavy and full, oily mouthfeel. A little too much of everything.

Niewielka, sycząca piana, która szybko opada prawie do zera. Barwa rubinowa, delikatnie opalizująca. Aromat delikatny, "belgijski" - są suszone owoce, cukier kandyzowany, stary chmiel, odrobina ziół, karmelu i herbaty z hibiskusa. W smaku półsłodkie, ze sporą ilością rodzynek, syropu klonowego, karmelu, miodu, z niedużą ziołowo herbaciano pikantną goryczką, lekko cierpką - ewidentnie przypomina to bardziej Belgian Strong Ale niż Barley Wine. Wysycenie niskie do średniego, pełne w odbiorze, pięknie ukryty alkohol.
Bardzo fajne, mocne, ciemne belgijskie piwo, w moim odczuciu lepsze niż pozbawiona słodyczy i odrobinę zbyt alkoholowo-kwaskowa wersja Barrel Aged.

Alleen gedronken, donker rood bruin van kleur, korte schuimduur, sterke geur van kokos, pruimen en rozijnen, smaak past bij geur, is erg warm met nauwelijks bitter, niet te zoet gelukkig en heeft een aangename afdronk zonder droogte of bittertoon
