Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of roasted malt and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt as well as medium notes of chocolate, leading to a dry roasted finish. The body is thin. Thanks yespr for sharing.

[email protected] Twist, Stockholm. Dark ruby red colour, brown mediumsized head. Aroma roasted malts as well as coffee. Smoked and roasted flavour with sweet toffeeish hints. Some chocolate also noteable, but no coffee at all in the flavour. Tnx to omhper, for recomending this before leaving for the OMH-rating session.

Cask at GBBF 09 ... deep black ... chocolate malt nose ... sweet roasty malts ... little toffee ... little dry

omhper (25740) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUN 4, 2006
[Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm] Very black with small beige head. Dry with light body and soft mouthfeel. Lightly salty and discretely flavourful. There’s roasty malt and tobacco. The hop rate is fairly low, so the lightly salty finish has less than medium bitterness. An excellently balanced session stout. The antipode to US microbrews.

A BBE Feb 08 bottle - stored cool and dark. Opaque brown stout . Rich without being overly roasty or thick. Sharpish tang to this - the oysters? Dry finish. Not bad but could not drink loads.

Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 11, 2009
Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours black and opaque with a firm, rough light brown head. Sweetish aroma of vanilla and hard roasted malt. Medium body, hard roasted malt, some coffee accents and a burned malt bitter finish. 190209
