500ml bottle. Nice golden body with a huge off-white head. Fruity, malty, caramel aroma. Flavor has a sharp bitter and a bit acidulous maltyness. Quite an interesting English bitter, but not particular great. jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - FEB 28, 2007

: Citrus, orange aroma with a hint of caramel. Hazy, amber colour, beige firm head, good lace. Citrus, light sweet, light bitter. Sparkling and fruity dry finish. Not as good as last time. Recipe change? [email protected], Feb 07, 3.6
: Nice grassy and herbal aroma with a hint of caramel. Amber color, off-white head, good lace. Some chunks of yeast floating around but I don’t really care if the beer’s good. Grassy and some caramel in the flavor. Light sweet and soft bitterness. Little dry. Great session beer.
Bottle. Too light. Some pigfarmy aromas. Grainy malt, metallic finish. Some lemony fizz in the finish. Slightly earthy. Watery finish. Very unexciting. bierkoning (13355) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - NOV 30, 2006
Bottle conditioned. Amber color, big lasting frothy head. Licoice, nutmeg and malt in the aroma. Very bitter flavor with laurel, licorice and earthy hops. Fishy and salty. Tasty stuff. Gethinbeer (2452) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - OCT 15, 2006

Roasted malt for the nose.Deep coppery amber. Poured a large head which quickly reduced to tattered lacing. Woody notes, astringent, smoke? in the middle, finishing dry and bitter. Botle conditioned, full dress cat label. Quite good. BigBilly (127) - London W3 6PF, ENGLAND - JUN 6, 2006
500ml ebony bottle. 4.2% ABV. Poured a heavily carbonated amber with huge frothy head and great lacing. Gorgeous malt berry nose with red wine notes. Strange burnt wood bitter flavour reminiscent of some stouts. Belies the tempting aroma. Neutral mouthfeel with long bitter finish. An unusual quite pleasant beer which I could find habit forming. The burnt flavour won’t be to everyone’s taste. leaparsons (10554) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 29, 2006
Bottle. Dark gold with a massive head. Aromas are fresh, floral and zesty. Some caramel with citrus. Quite hoppy with some sweet pine. Flavours are dry biscuit with carmel malts and toast. Some toffee notes, also, with a crisp citrus bite. Lightly floral. Sweet, fruity and bitter on the finish. A good refreshing bottle beer.
