COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wicked Elf Porter is Robust in style. It is craft brewed using the finest Australian, German and British malted barley and classic English hops to balance.
Overall, rich, full bodied, seductively smooth and sessionable, yet complex and rewarding. It is a perfect winter ale although popular demand suggests it will be available at other times of the year.
Bottle conditioned.

Pours with a beautiful, creamy tan head that hangs around.. think cappuccino micro-foam! Malty aroma with just a bit of resiny hops, then that beautiful thick taste! Lots of malt, roasted and dark, with a hint of chocolate, licorice and salt; a mild bitter finish to top it off. I like the balance of alcohol in this - around 6.5% - with the malt to give a nice rounded flavour... Quite sessionable!

BB 04Jul2018. Poured an opaque black with a one-finger tan dense foamy head that retained very well and laced well. Carbonation moderate to high, lively and moderate to coarse. Aroma is sweet with roasted malt, dark chocolate and hints of coffee. Taste is initially of slightly roasted malt followed by quite sweet chocolate and with low to moderate bitterness. Medium body. Smooth with a creamy mouthfeel and sweetness and coffee bitterness on a moderately long finish.

I really enjoyed this creamy Porter, aromas of roasted malts along with fine coffee and chocolate flavour, nice solid lasting head.
