3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Had this on tap and loved it so I got a growler.
Aroma is light with a big curry note. A bit yeasty in the smell.
Appearance looks fine . Very light yellow color sort of like a macro lager. Head leaves a bit of lacing,
Taste has a lot of curry. Not as much coconut as I remember fresh on tap. Yeasty finish. Goes down light and smooth.
Light on the palate, goes down smooth but a little watery.
Overall I absolutely love this beer on tap and I’ remember it having more coconut there. From the growler it’s not bad. Light and has some good flavor but nothing mind blowing.
Tap at Beer Study. Found this one to be fine—nothing special but a nice easy drinking wit. Some light curry notes, lemongrass, ginger, grains of paradise. Not off putting or too sweet (or spicy) thankfully. emacgee (4704) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - DEC 29, 2013
Tasted at Beer Study. Soft cloudy blonde pour with two fingers of sticky white head. Not a big fan of the nose of flavor….. weird curry/pizza notes with some off yeast character. Not a fan. drowland (8955) - Georgia, USA - DEC 18, 2013
11/26/13. On tap at the brewpub. I was pleasantly surprised at how good this was, as I was not expecting it to be. Hazed yellow orange pour with a small khaki head. Light, light spice (as in heat) in the aroma with plenty of curry, a mingling of other Indian spices, and mild coconut. Happily (to me), the coconut pops more in the flavor, plenty of coconut, with a good backing of the Indian spices, lemon, and mild, mild heat. Touches of citrus and pale malts pop through. Tasty. italarican (1549) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 19, 2013
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear blonde. This is liquid Indian restaurant. Smells like samosas with loads of Indian spice in the finish. This is weird but definitely original.
