Pours a rich burnt wood brown with one finger of burnt tan head. Great roast in the nose, toasted and bready/buiscuty. Wonderful grainy notes. Medium body.
On tap at Moo & Brew. Pours a deep brown color with off white head. Roasty, burnt, cocoa, malty aromas. Deep cocoa, roasty, chocolate, syrupy, malty flavors. Really good stuff! two7offsuit (448) - Massachusetts, USA - JUN 13, 2016

On tap at the brew pub in Asheville. Top notch creamy porter with smooth chocolate and malts thriughout. One of the best porters I've had. Put it up there with victory at sea with a lower abv. Wish they bottled this bad boy.

4/15/16. Draft at Criterion. Pours pitch dark w a nice tan head and lacing. Roasty nose. Flavored of chocolate and roasted beans balance against a smooth mouthfeel that is not too thick. Finishes dry. Nicely rounded for a 6.8%

7% listed. Great porter, robust with smooth notes of chocolate and coffee. Pleasant surprise after a bunch of funky beers. b3shine (8804) - Indiana, USA - MAR 16, 2016
Draft to taster at the brewpub. This batch is 7% abv. Looks solid; a translucent cola with foamy beige head. Smells of a nice balance of dark malt, dark chocolate, coffee, and mild roast. Tastes like it smells with some toast as well. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and fairly bitter. Enjoyable. nearbeer (5372) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 12, 2016
Pint on tap at Tyler’s Tap Room Durham. Ebony with a thin cream on top. Mild aroma of dry cocoa, dust, caramel and a touch of coffee. Taste is the same. Smooth, near-medium body has medium carbonation and a good balance. HourGlass13 (849) - North Carolina, USA - JAN 24, 2016
Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, light cocoa, and smoke. Flavor is similar with coffee, roast, and light smoke. Over all slightly bland and watery, with some hops in the finish. Okay. freekyp (2194) - Thomasville, North Carolina, USA - JAN 24, 2016
UPDATED: FEB 5, 2016 A clean malty porter sporting some cocoa powder notes. Chocolaty nose. Nice tan lacing. Balanced with lingering dry finish.
