500 ml bottle poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, pine, earthiness and light citrus. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of roasted malt, earthiness, pine and light cocoa with a smooth dry moderately bitter lingering cocoa finish. baraciisch (3535) - California, USA - APR 29, 2017
Dark black in color with foamy beige head.. Aroma of roasted malts, citrusy hops... Light roasted notes, however fairly light bodied overall, lots of juicy sweetness, fruity hops, hint of bitterness on palate... Really nice black IPA

On tap at Hops & Pie. Black appearance with a lacy tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, cocoa, coffee, piney hops and light citrus fruit. Similar flavor, adding medium plus bitterness, a medium to full body and a dry finish. Solid. onceblind (11492) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 18, 2017
Deep dark brown hue with a thin tan ring of foam. Bright nose that’s got some earthy roasty dark malts and a semisweet floral resin underneath. Full intricate flavor that’s roasty/toasty with some dark malts and a floral hoppy undertone with a citric sweetness that’s hard to explain. Brilliant and balanced and complex. Bottle packaged on January 31, 2017. purchased at Logan Liquor. Iron Lady is real dark with a tan head. It’s on the darker end of the style. The classic Wicked Weed aroma is instantly noticed. It’s dank with genuine hoppiness supported by soy sauce and cacao. The mouthfeel is medium heavy, not too dense. Flavor isn’t overly roasty and has minimal tannins. It’s just smooth and bitter sweet. Alcohol is well hidden, but pops out a little towards the end of the bottle as it warms up. Loads of grapefruit and herb hop flavor burst out over a chocolatey body. This is as good as any real Black IPA from the PNW.

4 oz pour on draft at Spacebar. Black with light tan head. Aromas of malt, caramel, roasty notes. Tastes of cocoa, malt, caramel, roasty notes, grains. Medium body with a dry finish. jefcon (1935) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - MAR 19, 2017
Draft. Aggressive roasted notes and yet the astringency of hops on the nose. Bitter chocolate, bitter orange, brown toast on the palate. Balanced and intense. Confident stuff. b3shine (9412) - Indiana, USA - MAR 15, 2017
500 ml bottle to rocks glass (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good; a lightly translucent dark cola with with foamy beige head. Smells and tastes of dark malt, fruity and piney hops, and a touch of roast with a pleasantly bitter medium full-bodied mouthfeel that drinks easier than the abv suggests. Tasty. zoucrew102 (2351) - - MAR 10, 2017
500ml bottle. Roasted malt aroma with notes of chocolate malt and grapefruit, pine and floral hops. Pours black with one finger of light brown head that has excellent retention and lacing. Starts with rich roasted malt flavors with a little bit of chocolate and grapefruit citrus. Finishes dry with light pine and floral hop bitterness that is washed away pretty quick by more roasted malt flavors. Nice black IPA. Concealer (1284) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 6, 2017
