My buddy Jeremy met me at Wicked Weed for a few beers after a long run one Friday afternoon. Jeremy likes Budweiser. I suggested this beer. He liked it. I liked it. Light and flavorful if unassuming. Belgian beer for believers in Bud.

Mild nose of wheat and plastic, makeup powder / cosmetics, little bit of notebook paper with a pale malt core. No noticeable hop aromatics. Medium body, lightly spicy / phenolic, medium+ acid, medium to low bitterness. A tad husky / starchy front to back. Lemon, wheat, banana candies. Little yeast activity in the nose. Basic.

The description said the spelt added a creaminess to the mouthfeel. I think they were right. Otherwise, this is a typical Belgian blonde ale on the better side of the spectrum.
