COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This triple IPA is brewed once a year and released during Asheville Beer Week. With 94 lbs of hops in only 11 barrels of beer, this exceeds the definition of a hoppy beer. We dry hop this beer here separate times with a blend of Centennial, Simcoe, Amarillo and Mosaic hops to create a tropical fruit explosion of deliciousness.

Draft - Really clear golden color. Dry on the palate. Kinda bland with very little complexity. One dimensional if you ask me.

At the RBSG 2016. Poured gold with white head. Nose of citrus and pine along with tropical fruit. Full body and a resinous mouthfeel. Flavor is big on citrus and fruit; Bitter finish. Excellent.

It pours golden clear with a full white head and plenty of lacing. It has a powerful citrus aroma with floral elements, very hoppy. The flavors are high floral and citrus flavors. There are also pine flavors in it. There is a high bitter punch to the palate.

Sample at the brewpub. Hazy dark golden color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, piney hops and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of floral hops, citrus and caramel malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Golden pour. Big white head. Plenty of lacing. Aroma is citrusy and malty. Taste is slight roasted corn and citrusy.

Growler. Pours a hazy gold with medium frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is strong floral hop, citrus, and pine. Medium mouth, nice fruity hop, light caramel malt, hides alcohol well, light bitterness, really enjoyed this one.

Draft. Clear yellow color. Nice fruity aroma. Taste is very bitter resin, a bit rough.

4 oz pour on draft at ChurchKey for the Wicked Weed DC Debut event. Surprisingly, this was a bit more subtle than the Freak of Nature, the double IPA. Lots of booze, but smooth, not astringent. Sweet malt balance, pine resin is balanced out.

Imbalanced with the hoppy, astringent citrus peel end of things. Pours golden amber with ok head and lacing. Very astringent finish. Tap at Churchkey.

similar to Freak of nature, except way more onion, and the taste is way to much alcohol and bitter malt for me, more of a strong ale
