COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Next in our Canvas Series is Montmaretto. This Barrel-Aged American Sour undergoes secondary fermentation on a pound-per-gallon of Montmorency Cherries. A portion of this beer was also aged in barrels with almonds to impart an Amaretto character to the final blend.

Bottle from Smith's. Pours turbid coppery toward ruby with fizzy white head. Nose is earthy, lactic cherries. Tastes tart, with rich, earthy cherry notes, complex palate feel, fizzy body, great balance. Outstanding!

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish, bright wine-colored hue with a small bit of foam that lingers. Tart cherry, blackberry, plum, oak, vanilla and faint cinnamon. Crisp, big tart cherry juice on the palate. Slightly vinous. Really nice pinot noir notes as it warms. Really enjoyed this one.

Pours cloudy golden with low white head. Aroma of marzipan, some citrus and stone fruit. Taste is medium tart, sweet marzipan finish. Light and crisp body with soft carbonation.

500mL bottle, pours a hazy amber orange with a tiny white head. Aroma brings out loads of brett, tart cherries, and medium acidity. Flavour is loaded with brett, tart cherries and moderate acidity. Moderately complex, but quite enamel-stripping. Very good.

strong sour aroma, faint cherry notes. amber/peach colored and lightly hazy with fast fading head. moderate sourness, nice tart cherry flavor, very faint oak and almond notes.

Hazy orange yellow pour with aroma of cherry, almond, biscotti, and a touch of funk. Quite flavorful with tart cherry, almonds and some barnyard funk. Excellent beer!

On tap at Wicked Weed Funkatorium in Asheville, NC. Aroma is loads of cobweb and barn funk with some cherry, almond notes hovering about. Taste is lactic, cherry and vanilla yogurt, oak. Love the cherry/almond fruit mixed with creamy funked out yogurt from the farm.
