COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We chopped more pumpkins than King Henry had wives, to achieve the velvet body and tawny complexion of this rounded harvest ale. Brewed with your favorite fall spices like nutmeg and cinnamon, the rich taste and subtle spice give way to Wicked Weed’s trademark dry finish that will have you losing your head after one taste.

Draft to taster downstairs at the brewpub. Looks good; a fairly transparent paler caramelish orange with white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of pumpkin, related spices, and ale yeast; could be more balanced though. Tastes like it smells with a fairly smooth and pleasant medium to medium full-bodied semi-dry mouthfeel. A solid pumpkin ale.

Smells like squash more than pumpkin, but there?s a decent pumpkin flavor. Spice mixture is a little nutmeg heavy. Otherwise, the clear light brown ale is respectable.

Nice pumpkin ale. Some subtle spice, but a lot of it, and a dry hop finish round out this tinted golden Amber. A great beer for those who do not want liquid pumpkin pie. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Wicked Weed. Poured a golden orange color with a small white head. Aroma was light hop notes, touch of pumpkin, but lacking in pumpkin spices. Not a problem at all, just pointing it out. Flavor was light pumpkin gourd notes, light bitterness.

Appearance: A picturesque pumpkin ale, with its orange-gold hue and a slim white cap of froth.

Smell: Anticipated notes smelling of bready, toasted maltiness, oven-cooked pumpkin meat dosed with just the right amount of sugar and spice.

Taste: Bready, toasty malts sweetened with a light touch of toasted sugars atop the pumpkin. Some nice accents of vanilla, spicy cinnamon and earthy grated nutmeg. Light hops impart a light bitterness. All flavors slowly recede on the drying finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: It doesn’t break new ground, but it hits all the right notes for a good, solid pumpkin ale.
