2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft from WW. Pours a hazy bright light orange with a tiny ring of white foam. Nose is orange, kumquat, modest yeast presence, a bit of lemon/lime. Taste is sweet and simple. Nothing to see here; move along.
4oz on tap at the downstairs taproom. Strangely, this is labeled as "VII Kumquat Saison" on the menu (5.8%, 22 IBU). Is it Ratebeer, or the menu artist that is mistaken??? Anyway, kumquat is for sure noticeable here, and pretty pleasant and appreciated. Nice mild belgian yeast, some citrus. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Medium-plus body. Clear golden orange color. Thin off-white head. Leaves good thicker lace. Nice ropes. Nice peppery aroma. Moderate to bigger sweet taste. Nice moderate bitter, pleasant mild tart. A delicious, mildly tart kumquat saison. woodychevy (874) - - FEB 15, 2015
On tap at Wicked Weed downstairs. Good, not amazing. Kumquat is not really distinguishable from citrus notes that dominate- lemon, orange, grapefruit. Floral notes as well. Whole brew seems a bit subdued- saison notes are there but subtle. Very clean and crisp. Somewhat bitter on finish. ben4321 (6607) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JAN 14, 2015

Aroma: The aroma is light and fruity (citrus mostly) to go along with some yeast notes
Appearance: It pours a clear gold color, with a small white head, and some light lace
Flavor: The flavor is lightly yeasty and lightly sweet, closes out pretty bitter for a saison
Palate: The body is medium, it is overly carbonated, but remains reasonably drinkable
Overall, I actually thought this was a solid, fruity saison. It has some nice flavors to it. Good stuff, but it wasn’t the best of the offerings I tried on this trip to Wicked Weed.
Keg at the downstairs tasting room. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a thin frothy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of dry citrus, bready malt, citrus and tropical fruits. The taste is tart and dry citrus, bready malt, lingering spice. Medium bodied, moderate lingering bitterness. magsinva (1413) - Virginia, USA - DEC 22, 2014
Tap @ wicked weed - pours clear gold with a white head, some lacing. Aroma is citrus, lemon, lime, and orange. There is a piney zestyness that I quite enjoy. Overall, very nice!

Draft at brewpub. Pours orange with a thin white head. Leaves a lot of lacing in the glass. Nice fruity notes on the nose along with the funkiness you expect from the style. Solid funky fruit on the tongue. Finishes clean. Another awesome saison from wicked weed. drsordr (2778) - Loveland, Ohio, USA - MAR 27, 2013
Draft at the brewpub. Nose of saison grass and spice. Initial taste of typical saison, spice and citrus. Followed by a nice mellow fruit aftertaste. As with their papipa, the fruit adds an interesting aftertaste instead of an overwhelming fruit flavor.. Great mix. thedm (6280) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - FEB 26, 2013
This draft brew from the brewery poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a no visible carbonation semi-opaque dark yellow orange colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy floral malty and banana. mild citrus with a mellow malty aftertaste. The good flavor contained notes of wheat mild hops floral fruity and malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.
