3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Holy cow, this is bright. Ruby pink clear pour with a pinkish white head. Nose is bright and hoppy, with the beet presence coming through more slight... big citrus, but also earthy and nearly tart notes... but hot damn, the taste is beet juice poured into an IPA. Beets. Dirty, dirty beets.
Draft at brewpub. Pours red with a thin white head. Leaves trace lacing in the glass. Not getting a lot on the nose. Somewhat tart on the tongue with a hint of fruitiness. Has some bitterness on the finish. Doesn't really work for me as an IPA. A rare miss from these guys.

Cherry red pour with pink head. Fruity nose with some citrus. Beets and paper with a good resiny bitter. Medium bodied and fizzy. very different but ok if you like beets NachlamSie (3597) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 17, 2013
10 oz. pour at the brewery. This is a red beer. I mean really red, like the head is pink red. The aroma has so much beet character in it, there is no subtlety whatsoever. Beets overtake the flavor as well. I love beets, so I was fine with it. The beet flavor is very natural and pure which I enjoyed. I had a few sips then noticed. . .there is some dank Wicked Weed hoppage going on. It’s subtle compared to many of their other beers, but it’s here. Pretty cool beer, definitely different.
