Growler from the brewery. Fairly clear bright orange pour. Nose of fresh skunky hops; earthy pot and citrus. Faint Belgian yeast action (intended?). Oily, slick palate. Dangerously drinkable.
Draft at the brewery taproom during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds lightly toasted bread, ripe orange. Moderately sweet, with some piney and earthy hops, rindy bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Light rindy orange in the finish, with dry pine and more toasty bread. OK overall. jbruner (5012) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - SEP 18, 2015
I’ve had this several times but apparently never rated. It’s a solid west coast style IPA with a good malt backbone to cover the over the top hopping. jackl (8271) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 5, 2014
Sample @ Wicked Weed. Amber pour with a small head. Nose is very sweet. Big caramel malt. Sticky summery fruits, fruit leather. Taste is a bit hot and aggressive. Caramel base, plenty of cantaloupe and tropical fruit salad. Active carb, a bit slick. decaturstevo (6342) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - MAR 6, 2014

Clear gold body with an off-white head.

Draft at brewpub. Pours clear orange with white head. Nose and taste of orange candy, dank resin, pine and caramel malt. Medium body. TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - FEB 10, 2014
Tap at WW this weekend and a couple growlers in previous months. This is solid, but not one of my favorites from walt and co. A little too much resin going on, along with a light Belgian character that I sometimes get in their non-Belgian offerings. Maybe its that house yeast. I dunno. Don’t get me wrong, this beer aint bad, but it would not be in my top 5 of IPA’s I’ve had from WW so far. 3fourths (9351) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - FEB 10, 2014
Draft. Burnt peach and pineapple with a touch of onion / veggies. Pine resin becomes more pronounced as it warms and opens. Red apple, cherry and plum syrup fruitiness. Highly bitter with strong hop acids. Bubble gum dominates mid-palate. Coarse and astringent texture, off-dry malt. Zebra Stripe gum and astringent pine in the finish. No off-notes, it’s not a poorly-made beer, just out of balance for me and doesn’t present any hop aroma or flavor I enjoy. Malt is nice enough but a bit too lean resulting in the pine resin hop coarseness dominating.
