22 oz bottle, PDT 5/20/2013- Pours a nice hazy dark orange with a light tan thin yet sustaining head and some lace. Aroma is bourbon, coconut, oak, toffee, roasted marshmallows. The taste is velvety smooth, toasted coconut, marshmallows, oak, not really getting much of the fruit, mellow warming feeling, booze presents itself as it warms. Not sure how this tasted fresh but this really good, i do wish the cherries were more prominent though. dEnk (4200) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - NOV 4, 2014
Bottle @ home, tfs vaiz! Aroma is bourbon, caramel, roast, liquorice and coffee. Flavour is a thin bodied caramel vanilla bourbon caramel malt with a hint of roast. Expected more. slowrunner77 (12581) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 4, 2014
"Probably would prefer 6/10 times over the rye barrel, but really not a ton different (to my surprise). The barreling is subtle, so so are the differences in the end product. Vanilla and oak undertones, instead of spicy rye, otherwise identical. Good stuff, scored the same." Vaiz (4460) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - AUG 22, 2014
Bottle. Clear amber pour, almost no head. Aroma of vanilla, alcohol, leather, oak, spicy, some caramel and slightly fruity. Flavor is quite bitter, spicy and boozy. Quite some bourbon for the thin body. Slightly out of balance. NeoHippie2 (1074) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUL 25, 2014
This one was the closest to being similar to an old-fashioned of the three. Dark amber/copper pour with an off-white head. Aromas of orange, bourbon, oak, and finally I can smell cherries with this one! Flavor is very complex and reminded me of an old-fashioned immediately. Cherries, oranges, bourbon, it’s all there mingled together. Very cool concept, and a very good beer.

Clear amber-orange color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of bourbon, citrus and malt. Full-bodied with an oaky bourbon character and flavors of caramel malt and fruit. The finish is oaky with a subtle bourbon and citrus aftertaste. Decent overall. fonefan (50669) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JUN 15, 2014

Clear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, candy, sweet malt, wood, oak, vanilla. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, zest bitter, oak, alcohol - bourbon. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic.
Bottle at Craig’s. Lots of toffee and vanilla, bitter and dry, burnt toffee, bourbon. BrewGoblin (632) - Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, CANADA - MAY 29, 2014
Rusty raisin rouge with nary a head to be found. I was disappointed in this one to be honest. It is quite expensive by the bottle so I tried it on tap first expecting to be floored. Instead I found a somewhat watered down, one dimensional taste of wood, burnt raisins, vanilla, some spices, toffee, toast and light banana. It was boozy tasting but not of bourbon and not in a very pleasant way. The flavour is OK but it goes nowhere, just sits on the tongue and pervades through your mouth. hopscotch (11181) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 28, 2014
Draft... Clear amber pour with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Fantastic retention. The nose is so suble, all I can pull from the glass is toffee maltiness - no bourbon here. Medium to full-bodied with moderate carbonation. Nothing really stands out in the flavor. It’s just bittersweet and bland. Finishes sweet with a generous measure of alcohol warmth. Meh.
