Bottle poured a lightly hazed oranges hue w/ medium fizzy white head diminishes to a thin cap w/ some lace. Medium to bold orange citrus hop aroma. Initial flavor is light sweet w/ a bold bitter finish of moderate duration. Tastes are pine, pineapple, grapefruit, grass, straw, and toast. Medium to full bodied, lively carbonation, and pleasant mouthfeel.

Reasonable amount of hops for a pale ale, but the taste you get is predominantly fairly watery pale malt along the hops. Reminds me of what would happen if you took a macro lager and multiplied the hop content 3-4 times. Not bad for a warm day or if its on sale, but nothing anyone should feel like they are missing out on, and a little perplexing as an entry in a *winter* mix pack. Is this the flagship for this brewery or something? More of a spring/summer type beer. But not bad if you temper your expectations and just want something refreshing with a moderate amount of hops.

12oz bottle. Medium off-white head atop crystal clear amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, orange, some bread, kiwi, grapefruit. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, some lemon, bread, light orange. Light-medium body, light acidity.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 9/6/2013. Pours lightly hazy orange amber color with a 2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with some moderate streaming carbonation. Aromas of orange zest, grapefruit, lemon zest, pineapple, caramel, biscuit, floral, grass, and floral earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good complexity and well balanced hop/malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, orange zest, lemon zest, pineapple, caramel, biscuit, toast, floral, grass, light pine, and floral earthiness. Light floral bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, orange zest, pineapple, caramel, bread, toast, and floral on the finish for a bit. Good balance and robustness of hop and malt flavors; with a balanced hop/malt profile and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy and smooth mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice pale ale. Good balance and robustness of hop and malt flavors; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

This bottled brew from a grocery store poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a softly carbonated transparent golden orange colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was malty and musty. The bubbly crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a mellow hoppy aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of crisp hops and malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Has a great smooth taste with a slightly floral feeling, hops are not to strong but gives a slight bite ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This brew is a little more hoppy than what I would expect from an ale, but perhaps that’s what sets it apart from the rest.

kidmartinek (5007) - austin, Texas, USA - DEC 1, 2013
Fucking dope. Bright copper. White head holds a film. Stibky, danky aroma. No flavor, so to speak for a pale ale. Well, I did have a stash before this. What this ie is a sessionable pale ale.

commonmac (1336) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 29, 2013
Tap at New Bohemia in a less than pint glass. Overall a refreshing ale that exceeds expectations. Typically this brewery is heavy handed with citrus notes but this is a well hop-balanced pale ale. Clings to the glass and the mouth well. Good chemistry makes a great option.

DCLawyer (2914) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - NOV 29, 2013
Bottle->SA. Clear copper with small white head. Citrus and pine hops, which are overtaken by grains, malt, and an unpleasant presence of mold/feet/body odor. Messy, unpleasant.
