On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy orange color with a large white head. A big bready spicy nose. The flavor is strong banana esters, yeast, a bit of bready toast, some sweet sugary malts. Quite nice. wlajwl (7005) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - APR 2, 2014
Aroma is bubblegum, wheat and a hint of sweetness. The flavor is bubblegum, wheat, mild sweetness/cookie dough and a slightly tangy/mostly smooth finish. Why they didn’t call this Hefeweizen as opposed to the original which wasn’t I don’t know, but it was a solid hefe either way. ajnepple (6960) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 10, 2014
12 oz bottle from Mile High Wine & Spirits into a pint glass. Gold, pale and hazy with a small white head. Aroma of strong banana, spicy clove, sweet malts, bread, hay, and light floral notes. Similar flavor, starts out sweet and fruity and moves to a crisp, light bitter finish. Average body with ample carbonation. Pretty refreshing, I like it. Pour is a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma is corriander and clove. Kind of a surprise in a good way. Flavor is lots of wheat esters some bubblegum and banana. Maybe a touch watery but this was overall and pretty kickass hefe. I hope this makes it into their full lineup.
