12 oz bottle from the Craft Brewer Alliance Explorer variety pack bought at WinCo in CDA, ID. Aroma is full of clove, banana, earth, bread. Pours hazy orange-yellow with a one-finger white head that falls after a minute into a skiff of foam. Taste is full of German Hefe phenols and esters along with a nice biscuitiness that makes it stand apart. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. They should replace their lame flagship "hefeweizen" with this, most definitely. This is good. Beerdrinker79 (2188) - Idaho, USA - JAN 17, 2014
12 oz bottle- Pour very hazy orangeish golden with a one finger white head that reduces to a blanket. Aroma is yeasty, banana, clove, nice and German. The taste is banana and yeasty, clove and a hint of pepper. Body is medium to light and carbonation is medium high. Great beer, puts their flagship to shame. Btl pours cloudy, light pale, glowing yellow color almost wit like. Massive creamy white head that vanished into a thin head that lingers for a while, leaving good lacing on glass. Smells of banana, bubble gum, grains and clove. Tastes of banana, lightly sweet malt, spicy wheat grains, a hint of citrus and the phenol/esters of classic german yeast. Light body, smooth and tingly mouthfeel, medium to high carbonation, tart, spicy finish. Great rendition of the style. Nice fresh and crisp flavors of malts, yeast strain and hops work perfectly together. This beer would be outstanding on a hot summer day. Widmer bros. put it in 6 pks and make it available year round. DELICIOUS! PROST! Reid (2590) - Salem, Oregon, USA - FEB 16, 2014
Pint from Growl Movement in S.Salem.
In appearance this is a very murky golden yellow with a small white head.
Bubblegum, sweet over-ripe bananas, cherries and clove lovely lovely aromas.
Taste is similar to the aroma( thank goodness) with a little more spicy clove.
Luxuriant mouthfeel..medium with low carbonation..great.
LIke many have said why oh why is this not the flagship instead of the lame version? pdx77 (1483) - Oregon, USA - SEP 6, 2013
On draught at 2013 Widmer Oktoberfest. Cloudy dark golden/yellow color. Aroma of banana bread and clove. Taste is heavy with banana, with notes of bubblegum, clove, and wheat. Finishes with sweet aftertaste balanced with a slight bitterness.

Poured a golden greenish hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of creamy white head. Light sporadic spots of lacing along the sides of the glass. Below average retention.
Smelled banana, cloves, caramel, kiwi, grape, green apples, honey, wheat, grass and faint Circus Peanuts.
Tasted pretty close to the smell, which was a good thing. Got cloves, banana, caramel, green apples, kiwi, honey grass, wheat and light Circus Peanuts.
Light body. Oily-to-thin texture. Average carbonation. Long, crisp, refreshing finish.
Just a fantastic hefeweizen. I am actually pretty damn happy I bought this variety pack.

Slightly hazy gold with a tall white head.
Crisp, lemon/banana/clove aroma.
Taste is tangy citrus, wheat malt, banana.
Sweet....and rather delicious. shrubber85 (11508) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - SEP 4, 2014
Bottle. Banana, clove, hay, and wheat malt aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Slightly sweet banana/orange, strong clove and wheat malt flavor. Nice body. Very solid. boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 24, 2013
Tap @ The BeerMongers... Poured cloudy yellow with a thick forming head. Aroma of bananas, cloves, phenols. Quite effervescent with nice esters and yeast spice. Hints of vanilla, and whetted malt sweetness. German ale yeast vastly improves Widmer’s signature Hefe. JohnGalt1 (1721) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JAN 15, 2014
12oz found tonight at Brewforia Meridian on the way home from work. Pours with a fairly long lasting white head... hazed pale golden.
Very well balanced nose... great banana and clove mix.... light bready/grainy sweetness blooms the sweet clove aroma.
This is pretty super.. again a grainy maltiness shines without verging on sweet... well rounded with a lingering ester/phenol finish.
Body is light/medium with a good carbonation.... seems more full on the palate with warmth.
Very drinkable.... This is a nearly perfect hefe.
