Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours copper with a slight head that settles as a thin layer. Aroma is discretely citrusy. Caramell and resiny bitterness dominate the taste. One of many american ales out of which nothing specific stands out to separate from the rest.

Not much head. Reddish brown. Tempting smell with caramel and fruit. Aromatic maltiness emphasized with generous amounts of hops and sugar. Still smooth and seductive.

Good Clear Red Color. The flavor starts with a surprisingly strong piney hop flavor before leading into the chocolate, fig, and caramel malt flavors; Funny because the initial smell leads one to believe that this is a Brown Ale as opposed to a Winter Warmer. An all around decent Winter Warmer from Widmer Brothers, but if want an even better offering of the same style from the same brewer, try out the Barrel Aged Brrrbon instead.

Interesting amber. Clear, reddish-amber body with a thin, off-white head. Light lacing on the descent. Smell: Crystal malts, some modest notes of toasted bread and grains with an additional hint of fruit and alcohol. Taste: Amply sweet crystal maltiness with some toast, some graininess, and a hint of light-colored brown sugar. Moderate sweetness overall. Resiny hops, some pithy-accented citrus and fair degree of bitterness. Tiny flourish of berry. Long bittersweet finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Slight creaminess within. Coats the back of the throat.

Pint at blue door. Deep amber, tiny tan head. Aroma has a hint of red fruit. Opens smooth sweet and fruity. Finish is strange, spicy and lagery.

Pours deep red and clear with some lingering lace. Sweet malt and caramel aroma with a mild note of citrus and spicy hops. Flavor is prominent Aramark malt sweetness with a touch of citrus hop flavor. Sweet finish but not overly cloying. Medium bitterness. Easy to drink and sweet. Not my favorite but not a bad beer.

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2012 Bottle from Systembolaget. 26 SEK. Dry hopped. Great hop aroma and taste. Rather bitter. Not filtered - you can see some remainings from the dry hopping (?).

Bottle from Systembolaget. Musty smell and taste of dried fruit, caramel and some light spices that reminds me a bit about some pumpkin ales. But not at powerful. Fairly sweet, might work well with the salty christmas food. Feels a bit lonely on its own.
