Pours a clear dark amber with a red fluffy white head. Aroma is spicy, herbal, fruity, citrus. Taste is spicy, herbal, bitter lemon peel, citrus; pretty good. Some lacing, nice full mouth feel. Try this one out.

Aroma is generously hopped with a slight pine smell. Deep ruby/amber with a quick dissipating foam. Immense and full bodied with complex flavors of wheat, heavy caramel, molasses, brown sugar and oats. Booze is very well masked. Overall, this is absolutely fantastic. A genius winter ale with a hop dryness upfront and a very sweet finish leaving you a pleasant alcohol warmth.

steelers (35) - Minnesota, USA - NOV 8, 2012
Poured out of a 12 oz bottle into a glass. Clear dark amber with a generous head. Hoppie was the first thing I notice, didn’t exspect so much hop. Orange peel and pine flavors are similar, backed by a strong caramel maltiness. Winter spices are present. Medium body, creamy, medium carbonation and pleasant malt sweetness in the finish. Over all I enjoyed this beer. I recall last years batch to be much better personally.

thegreenrooster (4440) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - NOV 7, 2012
Pour is a dark red with a small tan head. Aroma is deffinatly hops with some sweet sticky malts. Flavor is more of the malts to start and then you are left with a little hop bite right after the swallow. Kinda reminds me of an American strong ale but not ABV strong. Thick, rich malts with a decent hoppy backbone.

sawbuck (743) - Round Lake, Illinois, USA - NOV 3, 2012
Nice aroma of hops and some malt. Deep amber in color with tan head. Nice mixture of citus hops up front followed by some slightly sweet malt, spices, banana and a hint of caramel. Finishes slightly bitter but clean. Nice.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2012 Dark ruby color. Small white head. Has a faint cherry in the aroma. A bit of candy sweetness in the taste. Not too bad, a little heavier and sweeter than most Ambers, more like a light barleywine.

gyllenbock (9288) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 28, 2012
Sample at a tasting at Systembolaget in October 2012. Slightly hazy amber with a small head. Sweet aroma and taste of dried fruit, hops, light spices and with notes of alcohol. The finish was quite bitter.
