Consume 01.30.2017 as a single. Paid $1.29 for a 12floz bottle with August 3, 2016 as its bottling date. Appears a dark nut chestnut amber - check. Sweet, raisin-like aroma - check, but also a bit buttery and boozy. Hmmm...this is pretty smooth. Its not something that bombards my mouth. Medium-full bodied, and leathery sweet. I consider this worth drinking as a middle of the road American strong amber. It aint offensive.

12 ounce glass poured to wine glass Appealing: deep red dark amber color, small off white tan foam looks clear not too fragrant, slightly hoppy bitter medium carbonation, long follow through, long intensifying bitter aftertaste Overall: good beer, a bit on the sweet side, nothing exciting but nothing exceptional either drank: January 17, 2017 1:07 AM

Thanks altonbrownd for the bottle! Poured into a snifter showing well filtered caramel brown with quickly dissipating brown leather colored foam. The nose shows a lot of sweet malts. The palate is light bodied and moderately carbonated. Flavors of a lot of sweet malt with a light tea astringency finishing on a lightly sharp IPA bitterness.
