Citra hops lend their name to this interpretation of a Golden Ale. But thats not all they bring to the party. Their striking citrus aroma and thirst-quenching flavor are the perfect pairing for soft malt notes. Together they create a beer thats full in flavor and uniquely refreshing.

Pours a slightly hazy yellow with smallish, but lasting white head. Sweet orange and grassy aromas. Malts come through in the tastes with initial citrus and caramel sweetness that quickly flattens out into a dull finish. Initially thirst quenching, them a bit blah.

On tap at Widmer Brothers Gasthaus. Very light fruit, a bit grainy with mild hopping. Pale straw with a creamy little head. Flavors similar: light malt, touch of grain. Smooths out and flattens into light sweetness in mid palate. Thin and crisp. A bit pils-like. Nice enough, pleasant and refreshing.

On tap at Widmer, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Nose is very subtle, with notes of floral hops in the back - not a whole lot more. Flavour is pretty spritzy, with sole soapy detergent notes and maybe some feint pistachio. Very boring and a bit off the mark. Not too good.

Part of a mixed 12 pack. Pour is cloudy pale straw, with a fluffy white, quickly dissipating head. Not much in the way of lacing.
Aroma is promising. Juicy grapefruity hops are prominent, with some pale malt mixed in.
Unfortunately, the flavor doesnt back up the aroma. palate is thin and watery, hops are barely evident, and flavor is mostly sweet, with lemony finish. Lawnmower beer at best.

From bottle to pint glass. After smelling it I wasn't super exciting due to the bitter hops smell, but tasted like a blonde fo sho. It has a strong citrus tone which goes great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear pale gold. Fair white head. Nice aromatics. Pretty flavorful. Malt to balance. Maybe too malty. A lot of character for a blonde ale. Basically zero bitterness. Medium body. Semi creamy. Great drinkability!

12oz bottle. Pale filtered yellow tan body. Creamy, thin head. Floaties. Not much of an aroma. Bitter, lemon tones. Pretty tasty for a Blonde Ale, but kind of bland and seltzer like too. Not much going on. OK, kind of suspect.

Btl pours slightly hazy golden yellow color, thick white compact head that lingers leaving nice lace on glass. Aroma of flowers, citrus and tropical fruits...faint mango and pineapple. Tastes of sweet malt, bread, citrus flavor and the fruitiness of mango and papaya. Light body, smooth soft mouthfeel, lively, tingling carbonation and a dry finish. Nice refreshing, easy drinking beer. Light and balanced blonde with nice aromas and subtle flavors make this a perfect lawnmower beer.

Easy drinking wheat with a touch of orange. Not as thirst quenching as I would like it to be, but a nice easy summer drinker.
