COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Citra hops lend their name to this interpretation of a Golden Ale. But that’s not all they bring to the party. Their striking citrus aroma and thirst-quenching flavor are the perfect pairing for soft malt notes. Together they create a beer that’s full in flavor and uniquely refreshing.

Smells pretty good. Lots of fine lemon, orange and wheat notes float up from the bottle. Less complex and distinguishing on the palate however. A little plain and not especially quenching.

Pours straw blonde, decent head that faded off quickly. Aroma is actually nice, sweet citrus notes and some breadiness. The taste isn’t nearly as wonderful. It doesn’t taste bad, just very bland. I’m actually surprised at how strong the aroma carries itself and yet tastes so bland. Drinkable summer beer on the porch with friends.

This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a decent pale hazy yellow to orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated rather quickly. The lacing was somewhat bubbly and didn’t last long at all. The smell had some citrus - like aspects to it but it didn’t really meld that well. The taste was mainly sweet but through the citrus but once again it didn’t really meld that well. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. I’m pretty sure I could pound a sixer of this within a session. Overall, this was just a decent blonde ale that tried to do something different with the citrus aspect to it. I probably wouldn’t come back to this.

Maybe a little dark for a blonde ale. Thin body, yeast, lemon, honey. Pleasant hop flavor but no resin. On the hoppy side but well balanced. Nice seasonal but nothing too special.

Citra blonde ale. Pretty much as the name implies, easy drinking blonde with nice citra aroma. Not for everyone but pretty tame drinkable beer.
