Citra hops lend their name to this interpretation of a Golden Ale. But thats not all they bring to the party. Their striking citrus aroma and thirst-quenching flavor are the perfect pairing for soft malt notes. Together they create a beer thats full in flavor and uniquely refreshing.

A: The pour is a slightly hazed golden straw color with a fluffy white head. S: Floral hop notes with some subtle citrus and fruity hop aromas. Some light malt notes of bread and biscuit. A light tropical note, but not super fragrant overall. T: The flavor has a bit more punch to it, but not substantially different. Citrus and tropical fruit hop notes with a lot of floral flavors as well. Some sweet bread and toasted malt, too. M: Light to medium in body with a medium level of carbonation. O: While not an amazing beer, this is a good one to drink on a hot day.

On tap at Widmer, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Nose is very subtle, with notes of floral hops in the back - not a whole lot more. Flavour is pretty spritzy, with sole soapy detergent notes and maybe some feint pistachio. Very boring and a bit off the mark. Not too good.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized off-white fizzy head. Decent head retention. Aroma of mild citrus hops, some floral notes and pale malts. The taste is pale bready malts, tropical fruits, canned fruit cocktail and citrus. Medium bodied. I would like it with a little more hop flavor.
