COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Columbia Hop was near extinction when we brought it back to create this crisp, easy drinking common ale. With a rich amber hue, Columbia Common, the new Spring Seasonal Release for 2013, has a Mild grassy and spicy hop notes are complemented by a fruity character and clean finish brought on by the use of hefeweizen and lager yeasts and unique malt bill. It’s the perfect beer for Spring. Prost!

12oz bottle. Poured an amber color with a smaller sized head. Some bread, lighter spices, and caramel in the tastes.

Pours clear deep amber with a small, creamy, white head. Aroma has sweet sticky malts, caramel, light sugar. Medium carbonation, dry and fairly light mouthfeel. Flavour has caramel, light metallic, soft sugar. Some piney notes to the rather lingering bitterness.

Bottle: Deep golden to copper coloured, clear, smaller loose white head, malt and cooked vegetables in the nose, suppressed hops detectable; moderate bitter-sweet flavour and light to medium bodied; slightly lingering drier and hoppier finish with some fruitiness in the aftertaste. Not totally convincing…

GABF 2012. Pours a dark golden appearance with a white head. grainy straw, herbal hoppy, earthy, light lemon nose. Refreshing, a bit sweet but crisp and nice herbal hoppy flavor. Pretty easy session beer.
