A creamy, flavorful Amber that’s smooth and easy to drink. Drop Top is fermented by an American Ale yeast to produce beer with a clean flavor and fruity aroma. The velvet texture is from the use of Honey malt and a touch of milk sugar. The Magnum bittering hops provide soft bitterness, while Simcoe, a newly developed hop variety, adds unique hop flavor and aroma.

Light caramel sweetness detected, not much of hoppiness. Quite disappointingly bland, but nothing offensive here either. Preferable to bulk lagers any day.

Nice and smooth, seems like it's perfectly made for what they want. I'd like a bit more body to be great. Portland ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

We enjoyed this one more than our last one. The Ambers are becoming harder to find. Cheers! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amber. Thin white head. Crisp. Sweet. Easy drinking. Not sure why this one is getting hit hard in ratings, its pretty much down the fairway.

crossovert (14038) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 18, 2017
355ml bottle. Light amber pour. Smells like caramel pretzel. Flavor is a weakish, sweet amber ale, too sweet.

donandres (681) - Makati, PHILIPPINES - JAN 17, 2017
12 ounce glass poured to wine glass
Appealing: deep red dark amber color, small off white tan foam looks clear
not too fragrant, grains, fruity
low bitterness, some sweetness
medium carbonation, long follow through, long medium bitter aftertaste
Overall: good beer, a bit on the sweet side, nothing exciting but nothing exceptional either

[25/12/15] Bottle from Supermarket in Portland, OR: Copper body with medium head. Nose is wheat, floral. Taste is malts and some tasty fruitier notes. Clean palate. Respectable.

12-ounce bottles in a pint glass. Nothing really special about this, just a decent amber ale.

maxwelldeux (4433) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - JUN 24, 2016
Bottle from a mix pack. Nose has caramel and grains to it, though slightly off. Taste is a little sweet with toasty grains. Fine, but entirely meh.

Hard pour left an evaporating head.. no lacing .. crystal clear honey orange brew.

Smell is turned toward yeasty fruits... lite toasted malts.. a touch of citrus and spicy malts..

Flavor is the same and not much to pick out of the mix.. lighter body than exepcted.. sessionable in a big way... I don’t really know what to say about this beer.. average across the board.. if you want a nice American Amber.... there are way better ones out there.

Clean taste with a slight sweet flavor and a light roasted malt finish. Nice amber colour.
